How I Started, And My Favorite Blogs

I just started blogging since June. I have two blogs one was suppose to be for my book club.
But, unfortunately none of my members were interested. I decided I wanted others from the book blogging community to communicate with. I have not gotten much response. But, I just have to keep on trying. The one blogger that has helped me alot is bookclubgirl. There are some bloggers who I have left comments and are great. There are others who ignore me.
The other blog is Every Day I Write The Book, and recently Bermuda Onion. But, the one who was my inspiration is book club girl. She has helped me. She is trying to help me promote my other blog.
if no one is aware bookblog.ning.com is another source to find other bloggers. Tricia, is the one who started it. The bloggers on bookblogning.com are the inspiration not to give up. They are all welcoming. I have a technical question, no matter how stupid. They help.
book blogning.com has really been my inspiration and told me never to give up. It is a social book blog network.
They are great. But, I have only recently started, give me a few more months and maybe I will add a few. I wish there was a contest to visit a blog you never visited before. That one would have been a great idea.

Thanks for the compliment, Susan. Don't give up - it just takes time. I've met some great bloggers through Library Thing and Tuesday Thingers. Have you tried a meme yet?

There are some memes that go around that you have to be tagged for, but there are others, like Tuesday Thingers, Booking Through Thursday, Sunday Salon, Friday Fill-ins that you just "do" for lack of a better word. Everyone who participates tries to view everyone else's posts. The only one I do is Tuesday Thingers. If any of those sound good to you, I'll send you some links.

Hey Susan, I'm glad you are enjoying Book Blogs. It's a great way to meet other bloggers and find common interests. One thing that helped me when I started book blogging is leaving comments for other people. Good luck!

I agree with Tricia - leaving comments for other people usually gets them to stop by your blog - oh and joining challenges too and posting reviews then linking to them, that helps :)

Susan,

Thanks again for stopping my blog...your comments there did get me to stop on by and visity your wonderful blog!! You've gotten some great advice and I just started my blog in July. I think commenting is a great way to get connections with other bloggers. Links to your blog on other sites like Library Thing (my favorite), Good Reads or Shelfari can help. Signing up for contests by commenting also and hosting a giveaway is another way to get people to visit. I am hosting my first giveaway and that has brought a lot of people visiting my blog.

I like your reason for starting a blog...because that is why I basically started mine! I set something up on-line for my bookclub but they were not participating either. The first book blog that I noticed was Book Club Girl and I couldn't believe all of the blogs I found from there! What a great community to be a part of! I just started my blog this month so I am newer than you and trying to learn new things to do. It looks great and I will try to keep visiting your blog!
